Born 1980 in Kronberg / Germany, Martin literally grew up in a music-studio and met creative talents such as Boney M. or Falco at an early age. He lived in Spain for several years and worked, already a student, for several film, TV and commercial production companies as an intern and freelancer. Besides this, he carried out his first own film projects and studied at the German Film School in Berlin for some time.

Since 2006 he has been studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. In 2009 he got a scholarship and participated in the UCLA / Filmakademie Hollywood Masterlcass in Los Angeles which is supported by major studios like 20th Century Fox or Warner Bros. Just recently he has won the ProSiebenSat1 Prime Time Award. While he is working on his feature film diploma his last film "The Night Father Christmas Died" has been selected as a finalist for the 2010 Student Academy Award.
