"the night father christmas died" has been selected from a record 61 entries from 36 countries as one of 5 finalists for the 2010 honorary foreign film award in the academy of motion picture arts and sciences' 37th annual student academy awards. the oscar awards ceremony takes place on saturday, june 12, at the academy’s samuel goldwyn theater.

martin won the Pro7/Sat.1 Primetime Award for his upcoming project "robin 2k", which will be his diploma at the filmakademie. he will start developing it for Pro7 and the film will most likely being aired next year in primetime at one of germany`s biggest networks.
"the night father christmas died" celebrated it`s world premiere at the 31th max-ophüls preis filmfestival in competition. the film is a huge success with audiences.
"wunden" won best picture at the filmfestival st. petersburg

"withered flowers blooming" was awarded with the 2nd audience award at the filmakademie highlights.
martin has been awarded a scholarship for the UCLA as part of the hollywood masterclass of the filmakademie. he will be in los angeles this summer.
the first "the night father christmas died" trailer will premiere at the goethe screening in los angeles mid august.
